The Red Wines of Miguel Torres...

Our red wines represent our house seal. These bottles symbolize centuries of history, our passion for what we do and the care we lavish on our customers.

These wines cover an ample range, made with traditional varieties drawn from Catalan viticulture, grapes well adapted to our soils and climate. We also make fine wines with noble and international grape varieties that have been able to adapt with equal success to our lands. It is through this means that we are able to satisfy every palate

Sangre de Toro - Spain

The White Wines of Miguel Torres...

We are especially proud of our white wines. The type of winemaking involved in producing this style of wines, pure, clean and seductive, just as we understand them today, proved very difficult for our forefathers to achieve. Today, however, we know the secret and have the means to maintain the properties of the fruit intact, transforming them into wines that are unique, fresh and elegant, with the aid of the climate, the soils, the well-tended vines and our experience.

Vina Sol - Spain

Description:

Parellada, a traditional white grape, is what gives Viña Sol its distinctive fresh fruitiness.

Wine and Food:

Excellent as an aperitif and with cod dishes, salads, soft cheeses, trout, and seafood in general.

Tasting Notes:

Elegant, fresh, fruity aromas with fine spicy hints. Smooth, rich and crisp on the palate, with plenty of fruity flavours (apples and pineapples) and a touch of spice (fennel).

Miguel Torres 2004 Catalunya Vina Esmeralda

Fragrant peach and grapefruit flavors come up in this blend of moscatel and gewurztraminer, its texture soft and light, marked by a warm sweetness. Chill it well for grilled halibut.

Miguel Torres 2000 Penedes Gran Coronas Reserva

Tempranillo contributes strawberry and rose aromas while cabernet sauvignon adds black pepper and cassis flavors to this blend, its firm tannins needing time or a steak to mellow.

2004 Torres
De Casta
Rosé Blend, Catalunya

Full and snappy, with a touch of natural smoke and plenty of berry defining the bouquet. Strawberry, apple skin and citrus flavors make for a spunky, clean palate, and the overall zest is admirable.

2003 Torres
Celeste
Ribera del Duero

Torres’ first-ever Spanish wine from outside Catalonia was made from purchased fruit at a newly acquired winery outside of Valladolid. The wine shows good color and nice plum and cherry character. It’s a bit tart and fresh for a 2003 (hot year), yet it carries some more rugged beef and smoke notes.
